Economy

I was in Morocco several months ago.

There I met a Moroccan guy who was working for IT company as an engineer.

He used to study in France and got Masters degree there. Of course he spoke Arabic, his mother language, French and English.
He was familiar with several computer languages and IT system.

I thought he was really competitive in global human resource market.

I became a good friend of him and was hanging out with him often.

One day, when I was with him, I ran across a japanese girl, who was in the way of her world tour.
I asked her how much money she saved to travel around the world and she answered.
She saved that amount of money working for 2 years in a bar as a part time employee.

Later, after my moroccan friend and I said good bye to her, my moroccan friend asked me how it was possible for her to save that amount of money just working for 2 years as a bartender.
She didn't graduate from university and of course coud not speak foreign language.
She just worked as a bartender for 2 years and saved certain amount of money to travel around the world.

My moroccan friend said
"If I want to save that amount of money, I need to work more than 5 years..."

Here, I am not criticizing her at all.
She was such a nice girl and I hanged out with her several weeks later again.
I enjoyed talking to her a lot and appreciate her activeness and braveness.

What I want to say here is that one's possibility of life depends on where you were born.

It seems like people care about the inequality inside one country and they take action to correct it.

But when it comes to the inequality between countries...?

We are all humans right?
