Research as a way of life

The word research is obviously a combination of the prefix "re" and the verb "search".

In the course of our daily lives, we come across events, go through experiences and feel diverse emotions.

But we hardly look back on those and reflect what those experiences really mean for the world.

Research is a way of life.

Research is not what you undertake to finish your degree. It is what we practice in our daily lives.

By going back to those past experiences, contemplating the meaning of those and trying to extract insights that could be useful for the better future, our life becomes vibrant, meaningful and intriguing.

We "search again" the meaning of our experiences.

Maybe, research is what I really wanted to do.
