Are clients god? ver.1

In Japan, or in the world of business, there's a saying

"Clients are god"

Sorry, I do not agree with that... hahaha!!

So, to analyze this phrase, let's define each word.

Who are clients? In a dictionary, it says,
"a person or organization using the services of a lawyer or other professional person or company"

Ok, that's true, but it lacks one important element.

I define this word as following:
"clients are people who use the services of companies paying money as a compensation"

Those who use the services of companies without paying money are just robbers.
Clients are clients because they pay money.

Next.

Who is god? This is difficult.

But in a dictionary, it says
"the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being."

So, the saying "Clients are god" can be re-interpreted as following:

"Those who use the service paying money as a compensation are the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority"

HA??

Could it be true?

Sorry no way----. hahaha

When I was working for a company, I had opportunity to go drinking with clients. Clients encouraged me to drink beer but at that time I did not feel like drinking and I declined it. (actually I like beer but declined it intentionally.....)

Later, my boss scolded me. According to him, I shouldn't have declined the offer of beer from the clients because they were important clients for our company. (actually I knew that I was gonna be scolded because of what I had done....)

But I did not agree with what he said and used the logic I explained above.

I said to him "the saying 'clients are god' is just a product of monetarism, don't you think so?"

He just replied "it's a difficult problem."......hahaha

Do you think "clients are god?"
